LAIRS & LEGENDS KICKSTARTER preorders ▶▶ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thedmlair/lairs-and-legends?ref=59pir1 In Dungeons & Dragons, agency is an important concept. Players should have agency, the ability to decide what their characters say and do. And, at the same time, dungeon masters should have agency, the ability to decide what their NPCs (including enemies) say and do. So why is it that players often question what the DM decides to have their monsters do in combat? Do we dungeon masters try to tell them how to run their PCs? (I certainly don't.) In this video, we discuss who SHOULD get to decide what enemies do in combat -- players or dungeon master -- and things might just get a little ranty today.
