RPGs Are a Spiritual Experience for Me.

2.4K views • 2 years ago • 35:55 Making this video was kind of frightening. It’s such a big and daunting concept. I’m taking this to a more personal level than I usually do. There is the uncertainty how people are going to react. But something tells me that I need to put this video out there. RPGs and fantasy adventure games are a spiritual experience for me, as they immerse me into a mythic realm where mortals dare to contend with good and evil, order and chaos, seeking to reach greater levels, to access the potential of who they could be, to reclaim extraordinary treasures, and to rescue maidens—life and beauty—from the clutches of destruction. Games like D&D and even fantasy video games are a portal to a majestic space that exists between creativity and practicality, and I endeavor to keep the spirit of the mythic tradition alive.
