We give some tips and suggestions from the Dungeon Master perspective as well. Original Viewer Suggestion I think it's worth talking about retreating in 5E or in general. As a DM when I see my players retreat, I often have to hold back to not punish them for it. Typically they just use the Dash action to blindly run away, hoping not to be pursued. Depending on the terrain that gives the opposition plenty of chances to hit them with attacks of opportunity or riddle them with arrows. There must be a better way between Disengage, Dash and Dodge action. Can you talk about, how to coordinate a retreat with PCs of different level of tankiness and mobility? What if one is already unconscious? What if your opponent has ranged attacks, can fly or is faster? What spells are useful and when to I have to sacrifice party members to avoid a TPK. Cheers and keep doing, what you are doing, Vincent Please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe! Help Support Nerdarchy by Shopping at YOUR Favorites Places on the Internet.
