We give some suggestions to help this Dungeon Master game master this scenario in his Dungeons and Dragons game. Original GM 911 from Chad Long time fan, first time contacting, but I have a problem I would like advice on. I have been dming for many years and have never encountered this before, but in my most recent quest for my game, the players were supposed to clear an area of hostile monsters. In my game, I have ruled that the evil races like trolls and goblins aren't really evil, just uncivilized, and the main civilization of the area kills the barbarians on sight. Well, my group has decided to instead of killing the barbarians, to create a city full of them and try and civilize them. Personally, I love this idea as it allows us to explore social issues like racism and inequality and slavery in a very fun way that my entire group is excited about, but the problem is, I don;t have any clue how to go about dming this, so any suggestions or ideas would be extremely helpful! So far they have had dealings with a colony of mycanoids, and a group of giants who happened to be trying to form a city as well, and there is also some gnolls, trolls, and goblins in the immediate vicinity.
