My First D&D Experiences Were a Disaster

2.9K views • 3 months ago • 27:16 My journey into Dungeons & Dragons didn't have a spectacular beginning. It was years of false starts, bad RPG groups, campaigns that fell apart, confusing rules, frustrating dungeon masters … really just one disaster after another. I’m not sure why it’s taken me 17 years on youtube to finally share all this, but here is the true story of how I finally found what made D&D and tabletop RPGs so special, why I kept coming back despite so many failures, and what I learned about building great campaigns, finding the right gaming group, and becoming a better player and GM. If you've ever had bad D&D experiences, struggled to find a reliable group, or wondered whether the game is worth it, I hope this video encourages you to keep going.
