No "Yo-Yo" healing! Pathfinder's take on toothless D&D mechanics: dying, poison, diseases, skills

36K views • 2 years ago • 24:40 It's a widespread criticism that D&D suffers from "pop up healing," where knockouts in a fight don't matter. Poison, diseases, and curses also aren't very impactful, and skills like Medicine don't find much use. This next Pathfinder Law School video covers the Death & Dying rules, afflictions, and the Medicine skill and how they address common complaints about D&D. 0:00 Intro 0:48 Death & Dying 5:54 Poison 9:10 Curses, Diseases 12:47 Persistent damage 15:47 Putting it all together 18:08 The Medicine skill matters! 22:01 PF2 resources Pathfinder Law School playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5LfnOlAZRY6xyzxnx7JwV4hq9f8z7Y_V "Pathfinder (2e): Basics of Counteracting" (How It's Played): https://youtu.be/U9sijYMB0Ws?si=IOcoos9dhbWe_JY_ My Beginner Box video: https://youtu.be/EWMfQKXicak?si=bJMOSvkcx_Otequm My video on Quest for the Golden Candelabra: https://youtu.be/51JlqpOlHE0?si=vd356Peg4JQPF8TW Quest for the Golden Candelabra on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2381160/Quest_for_the_Golden_Candelabra/ How It's Played channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChtQk-wDX5F15f1dYGO5SQQ ============================= LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!
