Obviously this is something that needs to be worked out with the Dungeon Master running the game. but we take a crack at it anyway. Original Player 911: First off wanted to say love what you do keep up the great content guys! Ok so I will give some backstory as to my conundrum. My Mountain Dwarf Blacksmith Barbarian named Cognar Daggerbeard lost his hand in battle. Our stronghold (which was 300 feet above the canyons bottom) was under attack and they had set out an Orb of Devistation. Thinking that they would have dropped the whole tower on us, we started to lower the drawbridge to allow my Dwarf to interrupt their casting and jumped across the gap. He made his checks bit was hanging onto the edge of the other side. Our Cleric who just got possessed by a magic weapon decided to cut the rope to the bridge and drop it on me. So my Dwarf was stuck under the bridge by one hand and was getting stepped on and no one could do anything for him. Being as rash as he is, he took out his magic dagger and cut his hand off at the palm and fell. The flying knight cast slowfall on me and we ended up using a bag of holding to stop the Orb from going off, end of combat. Cognar is very stubborn and doesn't want to get it restored by a restoration spell he wants to live with it as a badge of honor. My two part question to you all is what kind of disadvantages would my Dwarf get from the loss of a "limb" and what kind of creative ways would you handle getting function back to the characters hand? Really appreciate you taking the time to read this and I hope it is worth a video! Thanks, Lucas Please Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe!
