D&D Beyond Maps FINALLY Lets You Upload Custom Tokens!

4.5K views • 2 weeks ago • 10:32 D&D Beyond Maps just added CUSTOM TOKEN ART and CUSTOM STICKERS! You can now upload your own images directly into the Maps VTT and use them as custom character/monster tokens or place them directly onto your maps as stickers. Supported formats include: • JPG • PNG • WEBP Players can manage the artwork for their own tokens, while Dungeon Masters have control over both player and monster tokens and can disable uploads if they prefer. Custom Stickers can also use transparent PNG artwork, opening up possibilities for custom scenery, fog, fire, environmental effects, props, and much more. This joins Custom Reveals, which arrived in late September and lets DMs show their own images and videos directly to players. And D&D Beyond says even more customization is coming: they're planning a persistent custom content library where DMs can upload, organize, and reuse artwork across campaigns. In this video, I'm taking a look at how the new features work, what you can do with them, and whether D&D Beyond Maps is finally becoming a serious option for fully homebrew games. What feature does D&D Beyond Maps STILL need before you'd use it as your primary VTT?
