D&D Just Added WoW Professions, Mounts & Pets

14K views • 3 weeks ago • 10:07 D&D: World of Warcraft is bringing professions, crafting, mounts, companions, vehicles, factions, Renown, and iconic Warcraft gear into Dungeons & Dragons. Chapter 3, Professions and Gear, gives characters an actual profession progression system. Your proficiency bonus determines whether you’re an Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, Artisan, or Master and that progression eventually opens the door to crafting everything from Common items all the way up to Legendary magic items. The system includes gathering professions such as archaeology, fishing, herbalism, mining, and skinning, while production professions include options such as alchemy, blacksmithing, enchanting, engineering, inscription, jewelcrafting, leatherworking, and tailoring. And these systems connect to much more than just making gear. We’ve got: - Warcraft-style professions and crafting - Resource gathering - Mounts - Flying Machines - Goblin Trikes - Mechano-Hogs and Mekgineer’s Choppers - Companion creatures and pet Loyalty - Faction reputation and Renown - Alliance and Horde rewards - Iconic Warcraft artifacts like Ashbringer, Doomhammer, and Frostmourne Mounts can be purchased, crafted, earned through adventures, or gated behind faction Renown, while companion creatures can eventually provide small benefits when their Loyalty gets high enough. Chapter 4 then connects those systems through Factions and Renown. Higher reputation can improve merchant discounts, unlock gear and mounts, interact with your Bastion, and eventually provide some enormous narrative rewards. At the very top end, Alliance and Horde characters can even become Ambassadors with access to major faction leaders and potentially call iconic Warcraft characters into an adventure.
